Real Madrid triumphs with Mbappé and Vinicius. A Parisian rout against Strasbourg, and OM crushes Montpellier 5-0

The tenth round of La Liga didn't shake up the top of the table. The top three—Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Atletico Madrid—all secured wins, while Villarreal slowed down. Athletic Bilbao and Mallorca also came away smiling with important victories. Barcelona, under Flick, dominated Sevilla with a 5-1 victory, maintaining a three-point lead over Real Madrid (27 points to 24). The Blaugrana sealed the game early, with a standout Lewandowski performance (two goals, the first from the penalty spot, making him La Liga's top scorer with 12 goals) and a goal from Pedri. Late in the game, 21-year-old Pablo Torre added a brace of his own (his third goal in five league matches). Sevilla's lone goal came from Muzambo.

Real Madrid had a more challenging outing but still secured a crucial 2-1 win against Celta Vigo at the Municipal de Balaidos. Mbappé, who has been in the spotlight recently due to both injuries and off-field issues, opened the scoring for Los Blancos. Celta equalized early in the second half through Swedberg, but Vinicius Junior netted the winner in the 66th minute.

Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid came from behind at home against Leganes (with a goal from Neyou) to win 3-1, thanks to a Sorloth brace and a strike from Griezmann. Villarreal only managed a 1-1 draw with Getafe (Arambarri equalizing from the penalty spot after Comesana's opener). Athletic Bilbao thrashed Espanyol 4-1 (goals from Vivian, two from Iñaki Williams, and Berenguer, with Tejero scoring for the visitors), and Mallorca edged out Rayo Vallecano 1-0 with a goal from former Lazio player Muriqi.

Ávila and Vitor Roque led Real Betis to a 2-1 win away against Osasuna (with Torrò scoring for the home side). Atletico remains four points behind Real Madrid with 20 points, followed by Villarreal (18), Athletic Club, and Mallorca (17), with Betis and Osasuna both on 15.

In Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain under Luis Enrique secured a 4-2 victory over Strasbourg at the Parc des Princes, drawing level with Monaco (who were held to a 0-0 draw by Lille) at the top of the table with 20 points. PSG's young star Mayulu opened the scoring, followed by Asensio in the second half. Strasbourg pulled one back through Mara, but PSG extended their lead with goals from Barcola (now the league’s top scorer with seven goals) and Kang-in Lee. Pape Diong added a second for the visitors.

Marseille, under De Zerbi, delivered a stunning 5-0 away win over Montpellier, with goals from Wahi, Harit, Højbjerg, Greenwood, and Luis Henrique. OM now sits third with 17 points, followed by Lille, Lens (who won 2-0 against Saint-Étienne thanks to Frankowski and Lascary), and Reims, who suffered a loss to Auxerre. Lyon is seventh with 13 points after a 4-0 victory over Le Havre (goals from Vinicius, Fofana, Lacazette, and Benrahma), marking their third consecutive league win (five in total, including Europa League matches).
