The year 2024 will be remembered as a golden one for Italian tennis. The 28-year-old Roman received the prestigious "Comeback Player of the Year" award at the 2024 ATP Awards, a recognition voted by fellow players for athletes who bounce back after a difficult season or significant injury. Berrettini overcame a series of physical setbacks that had hampered his career, rediscovering his best form on the court.
In 2024, the 2021 Wimbledon finalist claimed three ATP titles (Marrakech, Kitzbühel, and Gstaad) and played a pivotal role in securing Italy’s Davis Cup victory. His achievements propelled him from World No. 154 to No. 34, proving his resilience and determination to compete at the highest level once again.
