EuroLeague Basketball is breaking new ground with a landmark decision to take its season finale beyond Europe for the first time. The 2025 Final Four will be held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, marking a significant step in the competition’s global growth. The official announcement confirmed a partnership between Euroleague Basketball, the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, and the state-of-the-art Etihad Arena, which boasts a 12,000-seat capacity.
The semifinals are set for Friday, May 23, at 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM CET (7:00 PM and 10:00 PM local time), while the championship game will take place on Sunday, May 25, at 6:00 PM CET (9:00 PM local time), preceded by the third-place match.
"This move is a pivotal milestone in our global expansion strategy," said Euroleague Basketball CEO Paulius Motiejunas. President Dejan Bodiroga echoed this sentiment: "Bringing the Final Four to Abu Dhabi allows us to introduce EuroLeague’s electrifying atmosphere to a new and diverse audience, while also offering our loyal fans an exciting experience in one of the world's most modern and dynamic cities."
The event marks a new era for EuroLeague, further strengthening its position as a premier international basketball competition.
