The F1 World Championship will begin in Australia on March 8 and end in Abu Dhabi on December 6, with 24 races designed to cut costs and emissions

The 2026 Formula 1 calendar has been unveiled, and it features a major change: Imola is out, while Madrid makes its debut. Spain will now host two Grands Prix, while Italy will retain only one race—Monza—scheduled for early September.

The season kicks off in Melbourne, Australia, over the weekend of March 8–10, and will wrap up in Abu Dhabi on December 6. The layout of the season has been carefully planned to optimize logistics, reduce travel costs, and limit environmental impact. The calendar starts in Oceania, moves quickly to East Asia and the Gulf (with Bahrain and Riyadh strategically placed to avoid Ramadan), then crosses into North America before settling into a long European stretch from June to September.
