Lewis Hamilton is officially a Ferrari driver. As of January 1, the seven-time world champion embarks on a new chapter with the iconic Maranello team, partnering with Charles Leclerc to form a formidable duo. The goal is clear: to chase the historic record of eight World Drivers’ Championships, a feat no driver has ever achieved in Formula 1 history.
Ferrari welcomed Hamilton with a message on its social media channels: “Welcome to the family.” Formula 1 also commemorated the occasion, posting that the British driver officially joined the Scuderia on January 1, 2025.
To celebrate the start of this new adventure, Hamilton shared a childhood photo on his social media, showing him in a go-kart with a notable detail: a red helmet and the number 44, which has been his signature throughout his career. “It’s no secret—I’ve always been a Ferrari fan. I have a few Ferraris at home that I absolutely love; it’s a brand I’ve always dreamed of,” Hamilton said back in 2020. Now, that dream has become reality.
