Ciro Immobile, the former Lazio captain, is set for a Serie A return, signing a one-year deal with Bologna

Ciro Immobile is coming back to Serie A after just one season at Besiktas. The deal for a move to Bologna is now complete, with negotiations between the clubs having progressed smoothly over recent days. The final hurdle was receiving the green light from Besiktas, where Immobile was under contract until 2026. The striker is now finalising the last details with the Turkish club to terminate his contract early, paving the way for his arrival in Bologna.

Immobile will sign a one-year contract with an option to extend for a second season. This means he will initially be tied to Bologna until June 30, 2026, with the possibility of staying on until June 30, 2027.

The 34-year-old striker, Lazio’s all-time leading scorer with 207 goals, leaves Turkey after a year in which he found the net six times in the league, including a hat-trick against Hatayspor in April.
