Jonathan David touched down at Milan Malpensa on Friday morning, greeted by Juventus officials and excited fans ready to welcome their new striker. Shortly after landing, the Canadian forward headed straight to the J-Medical facility in Turin for his medical tests, a crucial step before putting pen to paper, with over 200 supporters waiting outside for photos and autographs.
The 24-year-old, who became a free agent after his contract with Lille expired on June 30, has chosen Juventus as his next club. He will sign a five-year deal worth €6 million per season plus performance-related bonuses.
David’s first day as a Juventus player continued in Turin: after completing his medicals, he visited the Continassa training complex and checked into the J|Hotel, where he dined with club directors and future teammates. Everything is now in place for him to officially begin his adventure in the black-and-white shirt.
