Strategic partnership for Italian basketball: jerseys, balls, and charity at the heart of the agreement with Subito

Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) and Infront have officially announced their partnership with Subito, the leading Italian platform for sustainable buying and selling, which will serve as the Gold Sponsor and Official Marketplace for the 2024/25 season. Beyond sponsorship, the collaboration will see the launch of an official LBA profile on Subito, where fans can purchase memorabilia such as jerseys, balls, and other items from the players. All proceeds from sales will be donated to the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation Italy ETS, a non-profit organization promoting social change through sport.

With over 2.5 million users and 11 million live listings daily, Subito is a key platform for sports enthusiasts, particularly basketball fans, as shown by the over 20,000 searches related to the sport in the first half of 2024. The partnership aims to engage fans by offering the chance to acquire exclusive items while supporting social inclusion projects promoted by the charitable foundation.

Lega Basket President Umberto Gandini stated, "We thank Subito and our advisor Infront for this partnership that involves all our properties and allows us to contribute to the initiatives of the Laureus Foundation, promoting fundamental values such as community and social cohesion".

Alessandro Giacomini, Managing Director of Infront Italy, emphasized the importance of the agreement: "We believe this partnership can expand the basketball fan base by offering Subito users the opportunity to access exclusive memorabilia and contribute to a good cause".

Wally Mascheroni, CMO of Subito, highlighted the value of the collaboration: "Being alongside LBA as the Gold Sponsor and Official Marketplace is a great opportunity to promote the culture of second-hand goods as a sustainable choice for sports enthusiasts".
