The MotoGP World Championship roars back into action this weekend with the Grand Prix of Aragon, the eighth round of the 2025 season, scheduled for Sunday, June 8. The spotlight is on Marc Marquez, who sits atop the standings and is eyeing a record-extending seventh career victory at the MotorLand circuit — a venue where the Gresini rider has always thrived.
The Spaniard is looking to widen the gap in the title race over his brother Alex Marquez and reigning world champion Pecco Bagnaia, as Ducati seeks a return to form after two consecutive races without a win — with victories instead going to Johann Zarco at Le Mans and Marco Bezzecchi (on an Aprilia) at Silverstone.
The factory Ducati team enters Aragon under pressure to respond, with both Bagnaia and Bastianini aiming to reclaim momentum in a season that’s become increasingly competitive.
However, the grid won’t be complete. Jorge Martin remains sidelined due to injury, while Honda’s Luca Marini is also ruled out after a heavy crash during testing for the Suzuka 8 Hours in Japan. Aprilia Trackhouse’s Ai Ogura is another absentee, still recovering from his Silverstone incident.
With Marquez in top form and Ducati hungry for redemption, the title fight is heating up fast as the MotoGP caravan arrives in Aragon.
