Marc Marquez continues his dominant run with another flawless performance, clinching his fifth consecutive victory of the season

Marquez made it five in a row at Brno—both in terms of victories at the Czech track and overall race wins from Aragon to today’s Grand Prix. After a cautious start behind Marco Bezzecchi, who pushed hard early on, Marquez took control and never looked back. Bezzecchi’s second place confirms the ongoing progress of the Aprilia team, while Pedro Acosta secured third on his KTM, holding off pole-sitter Francesco Bagnaia, who settled for fourth. Despite the missed podium, Bagnaia gained crucial championship points, especially with key rivals faltering, keeping him well within reach of the leaders at mid-season.

Marquez attempted the same strategy from Saturday’s Sprint race—launching an attack on Bagnaia at turn three. This time, “Pecco” held his ground, but Bezzecchi seized the opportunity to overtake the Spaniard. Marquez, unfazed, responded with precision, retaking position and emulating Bezzecchi’s early pace to take the lead on lap two of the 21-lap race. Bagnaia quickly fell back, losing ground to Acosta by lap four and struggling to keep up thereafter. Bezzecchi mounted a brief comeback around lap thirteen, but Marquez had already sealed his path to victory.

Behind Marquez, the standings begin to stretch. His brother Alex Marquez was forced to retire early after a collision with Joan Mir, and now sits 120 points adrift. Bagnaia remains 168 points behind. While Marquez edges closer to a potential ninth world title, defending champion Jorge Martin found reason to smile—his comeback from a three-month injury break ended with a solid seventh-place finish.
