Napoli are once again kings of Italy. Antonio Conte's team secured the Serie A title with a decisive 2-0 win over Cagliari at the Stadio Maradona. Goals from Scott McTominay – a spectacular overhead kick just before halftime – and a classic Lukaku run and finish early in the second half, sealed the deal.
With Conte suspended and watching anxiously from a cramped booth in the stands, Napoli started strong despite early nerves and missed chances from Raspadori, Gilmour, and Spinazzola. But it was McTominay who broke the deadlock, netting his 12th goal of the season and igniting the stadium.
Lukaku doubled the lead shortly after the restart, and from then on, Europe’s best defence held firm. Despite a VAR blackout and the pressure of Inter scoring in Como, Napoli held their ground until the final whistle, sparking wild celebrations across the city at 10:48 PM.
