The stage is set for the 2025-26 Serie A season. Cremonese have secured the final spot in Italy’s top division after winning the Serie B playoffs, returning to Serie A alongside Sassuolo and Pisa, who earned direct promotion by finishing first and second respectively.

With 20 clubs now confirmed, the new season promises a fierce battle, with reigning champions Napoli looking to defend the title won at the end of the 2024-25 campaign. The full list of participants, based on last season’s standings, includes: Napoli, Inter, Atalanta, Juventus, Roma, Fiorentina, Lazio, Milan, Bologna, Como, Torino, Udinese, Genoa, Verona, Cagliari, Parma, Lecce, along with newly promoted Sassuolo, Pisa, and Cremonese.

The 2025-26 campaign will officially kick off on Saturday, August 23, with the opening weekend fixtures, and will conclude on Sunday, May 24, 2026. The first two rounds of the season will be played while the summer transfer window remains open, as the market is set to close on Monday, September 1.

The official Serie A fixture list for the new season will be revealed on Friday, June 6, from 6:30 p.m., during the second edition of the Festival della Serie A, held at the Teatro Regio in Parma.
