Empoli’s goals came from Colombo and Salvatore Esposito (penalty), but it was Atalanta celebrating once again, reclaiming the top spot with 40 points after 17 matches.
Just two points behind are Conte’s Napoli, who endured second-half pressure but secured a 2-1 victory against Vieira’s Genoa. Goals from Anguissa and Rrahmani sealed the win for the Azzurri.
Lazio, led by Baroni, also celebrated a crucial win, moving level with Inter on 34 points. Lazio triumphed 2-1 over Lecce, thanks to a late goal from Adam Marušić. Inter, however, still has their game in hand as they prepare for their San Siro clash against Como.
