Gasperini’s side struggled but edged out Empoli thanks to a stellar De Ketelaere. Wins also for Milan and Juventus

Atalanta and Napoli continue their charge at the top of the Serie A standings during a weekend dominated by the league’s heavyweights. The Bergamo side overcame D’Aversa’s Empoli 3-2 with a late goal by Charles De Ketelaere. The former Milan player scored twice and, along with Lookman, continues to be a driving force for Gasperini’s team. Empoli’s goals came from Colombo and Salvatore Esposito (penalty), but it was Atalanta celebrating once again, reclaiming the top spot with 40 points after 17 matches.

Just two points behind are Conte’s Napoli, who endured second-half pressure but secured a 2-1 victory against Vieira’s Genoa. Goals from Anguissa and Rrahmani sealed the win for the Azzurri.

Lazio, led by Baroni, also celebrated a crucial win, moving level with Inter on 34 points. Lazio triumphed 2-1 over Lecce, thanks to a late goal from Adam Marušić. Inter, however, still has their game in hand as they prepare for their San Siro clash against Como.

Juventus, managed by Thiago Motta, returned to winning ways in the league, reaching 31 points—nine behind leaders Atalanta. The Bianconeri secured a 2-1 win against Monza with goals from McKennie and Nico Gonzalez after Birindelli’s equalizer.

Milan also got back on track under Fonseca, claiming a hard-fought 1-0 victory at Hellas Verona. The decisive goal came from the ever-reliable Reijnders. The Rossoneri now sit eighth in the standings, trailing Italiano’s Bologna and eight points behind fourth-place Lazio.

Roma, under Ranieri, continued their resurgence with a commanding 5-0 victory over Parma. Dybala scored twice, with additional goals from Saelemaekers, Paredes, and Dovbyk.
