Serie A: friendly matches from August 1st to the start of the season

Many Serie A teams play summer friendlies with other European teams.

In strict alphabetical order, here is the list of Serie A teams that will play friendly matches before the championship during the summer preparation period. Atalanta will play at Tardini against Parma on August 4 at 6 PM, and then in Germany against St. Pauli, the second team of Hamburg, on August 9. Bologna, led by Vincenzo Italiano, will participate in a triangular tournament in Bolzano on August 3 at 5 PM with Sudtirol and Bochum.

Moving to Northern Italy but changing region and language, we head to Valle D'Aosta where on August 2 at 5 PM, Cagliari, coached by Nicola, will face Como, coached by Fabregas, in a pre-season match. Fiorentina will host Montpellier at Viola Park on the evening of August 4. The next day, they will play in Grosseto. Finally, on August 10, Palladino's team will play a friendly match in Germany against Freiburg.

Genoa, coached by Gilardino, will play against Brescia on August 1 at 6:30 PM at Rigamonti. Inter will play three friendly matches: at Arena Garibaldi against Pisa on August 2, in Monza against Al Ittihad on August 7, and in London against Chelsea on August 11 at 4 PM.

Juventus will play two matches: against Brest at Adriatico in Pescara on August 3 at 9 PM, and against Atletico Madrid in Gothenburg, Sweden, on August 11 at 3 PM. Back in Italy, Lazio will play the regional derby against Frosinone at Stirpe on the evening of August 3, and eight days later will fly to Germany to play against Leipzig at 6 PM.

Milan, led by Fonseca, will go on an American tour: on August 1 at 2:30 AM Italian time, they will play against Real Madrid in Chicago; on August 6, against Barcelona in Baltimore, with the time to be defined. Finally, on August 13, the second edition of the Silvio Berlusconi Trophy will take place at San Siro against Monza. For Nesta's team, the match against Milan will be the only friendly match in August. Napoli, coached by Conte, will play in Castel Di Sangro against Girona during the second phase of summer preparation. Roma will play three matches: in Rieti on August 3 at 5 PM against Olympiacos, then they will fly to England to play against Coventry on August 6 at 5 PM and against Everton on August 10 at 4 PM. Across the Alps, Torino will play a friendly match against Metz on August 3 at 5 PM. Also on August 3, Udinese will play a friendly match against Al Hilal in Bad Kleinkirchheim, Austria.
