De Vrij salvages a last-minute draw for the Nerazzurri, as Angelino’s 92nd-minute goal stuns Conte. Juventus returns to winning ways under Thiago Motta

A weekend filled with high-stakes matches and derbies in Serie A delivered plenty of drama. In Milan, a thrilling clash between AC Milan and Inter was decided only in stoppage time, mirroring events in Rome, where Ranieri’s Roma struck late to snatch a draw against Napoli. As a result, the gap at the top of the table remains unchanged. Simone Inzaghi’s Inter avoided defeat in the dying moments, as De Vrij headed home an equalizer in injury time from a Zalewski assist. The match ended 1-1, with Reijnders having put Milan ahead earlier in the game. The reigning champions stay three points behind Napoli but still have a game in hand against Fiorentina.

Napoli, meanwhile, climbed to 54 points but was left frustrated after conceding a last-gasp equalizer at the Stadio Olimpico. Angelino struck in the 92nd minute to cancel out former Napoli player Spinazzola’s opener for Roma. Elsewhere, third-placed Atalanta also dropped points, managing only a 1-1 draw at home against Torino. Gasperini’s side remains seven points off the league leaders with 47 points.

Thiago Motta’s Juventus found their rhythm again, coming from behind to thrash Empoli after former Juve defender De Sciglio had briefly stunned the Allianz Stadium with an early goal. The Bianconeri moved up to fourth place with 40 points, thanks to a Kolo Muani brace and goals from Vlahovic and Conceicao.

Fiorentina and Bologna also secured wins against Genoa and Como, respectively, keeping pace with Juve at 39 and 37 points. Both sides still have a game in hand over the Bianconeri. AC Milan, currently eighth with 35 points, sits just ahead of Ranieri’s resurgent Roma.

The relegation battle remains incredibly tight, with just three points separating six teams. From 13th-placed Verona (23 points) to 18th-placed Parma (20 points), the likes of Empoli, Cagliari, Como, and Lecce are all fighting for survival. Monza, who suffered a crucial defeat against Verona, remains bottom with just 13 points. Venezia’s situation is also worsening, as Di Francesco’s side remains stuck on 16 points after a costly defeat in Udine.
