The four postponed fixtures will all be played on Wednesday, April 23 at 6:30 PM. Serie B and Serie C also confirm new dates

Serie A has officially announced the rescheduled dates for the matches that were postponed following the death of Pope Francis. The four games that were supposed to conclude matchday 33 — Torino vs. Udinese, Cagliari vs. Fiorentina, Genoa vs. Lazio, and Parma vs. Juventus — will now take place on Wednesday, April 23, all kicking off at 6:30 PM.

This decision follows the league-wide pause introduced as a mark of respect for the Pope’s passing. On the same day, the fixtures from matchday 37 of Serie C Group B — also postponed for the same reason — will be played.

In Serie B, the league’s emergency assembly has decided to reschedule the 34th matchday to Tuesday, May 13. The decision, taken by an overwhelming majority, considered the logistical challenges posed by the holiday period and long weekends. The league confirmed that all other scheduled dates remain unchanged, with matchday 35 set to kick off on Friday, April 25.

Serie B also announced that the playoff and playout schedules will be updated and communicated in the coming days, along with the exact match times for the 34th round. Italian football is thus set to resume its path after the extraordinary pause caused by these events.
