After just three games, Erling Haaland is once again positioning himself as one of the Premier League's standout players. The Norwegian forward for Manchester City has started the new season in spectacular fashion, setting yet another record.
In the first match of the season, the Norwegian scored against Chelsea. In the second game, he netted a hat-trick against Ipswich, followed by another three goals in the third match against West Ham. After just three Premier League games, Haaland has already scored 7 goals and recorded two consecutive hat-tricks.
In the previous two seasons, the Citizens' striker scored "only" three goals in the first three games. It's worth noting that in his last two years at Manchester City, he scored 27 and 36 goals in the Premier League. In the two years before that, at Borussia Dortmund, he scored 22 and 27 goals. So, for the fifth consecutive year, Haaland could surpass 20 league goals. At his current rate - 7 goals in the first three games - the 24-year-old Norwegian might even aim for 40 goals this season.
