The most exciting period of the sports season is undoubtedly the transfer market. During the two transfer windows, clubs strive to make as many deals as possible to improve their squads. The goal is to meet the ambitions of the fans and achieve the objectives set at the beginning of the season.
Serie A has always been a key player during this particular phase of the season. The top clubs in our league, and beyond, are always active and looking for profiles that can meet the needs of the club and the technical staff. The Italian transfer market officially begins on July 1 and closes on August 30 in the summer. These dates are not always the same for other leagues and often put clubs in a difficult position, as they may lose a player without the possibility of replacing him.
The Premier League, La Liga, Ligue 1, and Bundesliga all have their transfer markets closing on August 30, just like Serie A. It’s a different story for the Eredivisie and the Primeira Liga, which close on September 2. There is some apprehension about the Qatar (September 9) and Saudi Arabia (September 6) markets, as these have long been a concern for European teams, which risk losing their champions due to lucrative offers from Asia.
The winter session starts on January 1 and ends on January 31. The same applies to the closing dates of other leagues, especially the Arab ones, which are always different from the European ones.
