When the call from Juventus came, Igor Tudor didn’t hesitate. He jumped in his car and made the long journey from Split to Turin, covering more than 1,000 kilometers to begin what promises to be a defining chapter in his career.
Arriving at the club’s training center just before 9 a.m., Tudor was joined by his assistant Ivan Javorcic, who will serve as his right-hand man. For Tudor, it’s a return to familiar territory—he once wore the black and white jersey and later worked alongside Andrea Pirlo as assistant coach. Now, he steps into the spotlight as head coach.
Shortly before 10 a.m., Tudor arrived at the J Medical facility for routine checks, accompanied by team manager Fabris, goalkeeping coach Tomislav Rogic, and Javorcic. With the formalities complete, attention shifted immediately to the pitch, where Tudor is preparing to lead his first training session this afternoon.
His objective is crystal clear: rejuvenate Juventus and secure Champions League qualification—vital for both sporting prestige and financial stability.
Although many international players are still away on duty, Tudor will begin laying the groundwork with a smaller group. One of the first returnees is Nico Gonzalez, released early from Argentina’s squad following a red card.
Javorcic, who brings extensive experience from Italian football, and Rogic, a seasoned goalkeeping coach with stints at Hajduk, Zenit, and Shakhtar, form the core of Tudor’s trusted staff. All three previously worked together at Lazio.
