Max Verstappen once again proved untouchable at Imola, claiming his fourth consecutive victory at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari Circuit. A lightning start and flawless race management saw the Red Bull driver fend off both McLarens to secure his second win of the season and the 65th of his Formula 1 career.
Behind him, McLaren celebrated a strong double podium, with Lando Norris edging out teammate Oscar Piastri in a close intra-team battle — the Brit benefiting from fresher tyres in the closing stages.
There was also reason to celebrate at Ferrari, as Lewis Hamilton delivered a stunning comeback drive from P12 to P4, showcasing pace and precision. Charles Leclerc, meanwhile, had to settle for sixth, after a disappointing qualifying and a race strategy hampered by the ill-timed arrival of two safety cars.
Red Bull are back in control, but the fight behind them is heating up — and Ferrari’s new era with Hamilton looks to be gaining momentum.
